CGA Engineers was awarded the design of Harvard from 61st to 51st by the City of Tulsa. This project consisted of providing engineering services for the arterial street maintenance/rehabilitation. The project is reconstruction of the existing 4 lanes with four lanes and a center flush median. A complete reconstruction including replacing the open drainage ditches with a closed drainage system including 8,000 LF of curb and gutter. The pavement design is 9" of dowel jointed Portland cement concrete over 12 inches of aggregate. Additionally, full ADA compliant 5 ft sidewalks with handicap ramps were designed on both sides of the street. This project included 3,000 LF of 12" waterline for the entire corridor. Other design features included a short segment of an 8 inch sanitary sewer crossing rehabilitation; permanent traffic control improvements; intersection improvements, construction traffic coordination.
The final plans included quantities and notes, typical sections, right of way sheets, plan and profile sheets, joint layouts, intersection details, construction sequencing, temporary traffic striping and signage, permanent traffic striping and signage, details, and cross sections.
