CGA Engineer's was awarded the contract to design improvements for Maintenance Zone 9036 for the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority. This project included waterline replacement, street reconstruction, street repairs, and extension of the sanitary sewer system. In addition, the project included replacement of traffic signals at the intersection of E. 36th St. and S. Utica Ave., and the 5 leg intersection of E. 31st St. - S. Victor Ave. and S. Utica Ave. including all wiring diagrams for phasing of the lights. Services also included topography and right of way surveys.
Being in a highly urbanized area with limited right of way, the waterline was designed with extensive use of horizontal bores to protect trees and reduce the number of driveway replacements. Where open cuts across driveways were required, high early strength concrete was used to minimize the closer time and inconvenience to the home owners. Waterline
